Today is Celine Marie Claudette Dion’s birthday, or simply Celine Dion. For some people this can mean nothing, but for me.. Oh Gosh… Today is the most important day of the year!
A lot of people ask me why am I a Celine Dion fan and not a fan of someone who is common for people at my age to like. And I always tell them the same thing. I love her for the simple fact that, besides being the best singer in the world (in my opinion) she is such an example of a person, of a mother, wife and woman.
Yes, it can be unusual a person give her life to another one that doesn’t even know that you exist and yes, this is the hardest part of being a fan. But even so, it’s worth it because I don’t know what would I be without Celine.Celine Dion is in EVERYTHING I do. EVERYTHING! It doesn’t matter what is it about, it’s always related to Celine.
My biggest dream, as yours when you were more or less at my age, since I was a little kid is to have a career as a singer. I know that the chances are for 1 in 1 million, but you taught me “The power of the dream”, so I’m always dreaming. And I think that maybe someday, my dream can come true. Of course that this would be A LOT BETTER if someday I could meet you, because if this happen, my life will be perfect. I’m planning to go to Vegas next year and I hope I’ll get the chance to meet you.
My fanaticism for you, compared to other fans, it’s nothing.. Actually, today it’s completing 2 years, 1 month and 16 days, since February 14th, 2010, that the air that I breath it’s not oxygen, but is full of Celine Dion. In 2 years, I know more about you and your life that most of the fans that admire you for at least 10 years. In 2 years, I dedicated myself 100% to you, for the simple fact that you became a role model to me and because I saw myself in you, I was admired about you, the examples that you give us, the woman that you are and obviously… I WAS OBSESSED with your songs.
But right now, I’ll just talk about you because today is YOUR birthday and not mine.
On exactly 44 years ago, on March 30, 1968, the 14th child of Thérèse Tanguay and Adhémar Dion was being born. It could not be the most desired child, but this little girl grew up in the middle of a family full of love and full of musicians, captivating further her vocation for a singer.Celine, all your dreams (or at least most of them) came true, you are a fighter, and although it was not easy, you never gave up. That’s the example that you give to me. To not give up. You are my life Celine. You are the air that I breath.
Thank you for being just who you are and nothing more. You are perfect being you. You don’t have to prove this to anyone. Keep being this WONDERFUL person that you are and besides that: KEEP SINGING, because you voice is my north way.

You know, the Greeks knew about that with their theater. They knew all about the power and the essential social practice of putting on a stage, in a sort of raised platform away from society, all of the un-sayable things.
